Det tradisjonsrike varehuset LIBERTY i Regent Street midt i London sentrum har valgt å ta inn produkter fra NORA. Helt siden 1875 har varehuset vært kjent for sine luksusvare, og for NORA er det en flott anerkjennelse og bli tatt opp i den eksklusive kolleksjonen av produkter som varehuset forhandler.
NORA spisebord er med å representerer norsk samtidsdesign på den offisielle norske standen under møbelmessen i Stockholm 9. til 14. februar. 100% Norway som de siste årene har vært fast innslag på 100% Design i London dukker nå opp for første gang også i Stockholm. Spisebordet som er tegnet av StokkeAustad fikk fantastisk respons hos publikum i London og vi ser frem til å vise siste versjon av bordet i den svenske hovedstaden.

NORA spisebord vises hos House of Oslo i Vika som en del av utstillingen “Norske designdager” 3. til 12. september. Arrangementet sammenfaller med Designers Saturday og det er ventet stor publikumstilstrømning til denne flotte presentasjonen av norsk samtidsdesign. Spisebordet, som er designet av StokkeAustad, har fått hovedoppslaget i utstillingens katalog. Bordet er nå klart for salg utført i eik!
NORA Dining Table + Occasional bench are selected (by the Norwegian Embassy and Henrietta Thompson, design editor of Wallpaper) to be part of the official 100% Norway stand at the London design week 2009. The venue takes place at the Earls Court between 24th. and 27th. of September.
The Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet had an interior article in their sunday magazine SØNDAG on the 8th. of March with the theme “Pure Norwegian” (Helnorsk). The NORA Dining Table played a central role in the main photo, illustrating the combination of old commodities and new contemporary Norwegian design.
The NORA Lounge Table is published in the March-09 edition of ELLE Interior (Norway). The magazine has picked a handful objects to represent Norwegian design: from classics to contemporary.
The NORA stand at the Stockholm Furniture Fair was well visited during this year event. In addtition to the overwhelming amount of press, NORA got many new international contacts. The response among visitors was very positive, and this gives our NORA team the spirit to keep on developing new Norwegian design!
NORA of Norway AS will launch the new NORA dinner table together with NORA occasional bench, designed by StokkeAustad, at the furniture fair in Stockholm, 4th – 8th of February. Visit our stand: B 02:03.collection of tables and seating furniture will be at display.
Both the NORA Lounge table and the NORA Lounge chair was launched at the Designers Block in Covent Garden during the 100% Design event in London. HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who officially opened the venue, was introduced to one of NORAs designers, Ivar Grødal, and got the opportunity to learn about our concept and products made in Risør.
